Illinois Venture Capital Association (IVCA)
Founded in May 2000, the Illinois Venture Capital Association is a non-profit trade organization dedicated to creating a community for professionals engaged in non-public investing in private companies. IVCA's membership consists of firms engaged in all stages of private equity investing from early Stage through buyout Stage. IVCA is a great resource for the latest news and notes from the private equity and venture communities here in Illinois.

National Venture Capital Association (NVCA)
NVCA is a trade association that represents the U.S. venture capital industry. It is a member-based organization, consisting of venture capital firms that manage pools of risk equity capital designated for investment in high growth companies. NVCA's mission is to foster greater understanding of the importance of venture capital to the U.S. economy, and support entrepreneurial activity and innovation. The NVCA represents the public policy interests of the venture capital community, strives to maintain high professional standards, provides reliable industry data, sponsors professional development, and facilitates interaction among its members.

Private Equity Week
Private Equity Week tracks and researches private equity deals for the entire venture capital market. Their weekly newsletter gives you in-depth news on companies seeking investors, deals at all stages, participating firms, deal conditions, proceeds, and pricing. The business reporters of Private Equity Week go beyond the press releases to find the stories behind the headlines.
